Batchelor Institute’s Coomalie Cultural Centre conducts artist’s residencies, exhibitions and cultural projects and operates a retail outlet of art and craft. It presents a diverse range of artwork from across the Top End and Central Australia. Coomalie Cultural Centre was officially opened in 1999. Located en route to Litchfield National Park the Centre attracts many interstate and international tourists and visitors. The Centre is also frequented by groups of students, educators and delegations that visit Batchelor Institute. A bush tucker garden and a mural – both created by Institute students studying Land Management and Art & Craft, surround the Centre. Coomalie Cultural Centre is located on the corner of Nurndina Road and Awilla Street, Batchelor, NT. Opening hours are 10am – 5pm every Tuesday to Saturday during April – September and Tuesday to Friday 10am – 4pm during October - March
