Environment Centre NT

Location: 3, 98 Wood Street Darwin NT 0800

The Environment Centre NT is the peak community sector environment organisation in the Northern Territory, Australia. The Environment Centre NT has been working to protect the environment since 1983. We are the only community sector environment organisation based in the Top End that addresses all the major environmental and sustainability issues facing the Territory. We are independent and professional, and work hard to represent the interests of our members and supporters in creating a sustainable future for the Territory. The mission of the Environment Centre NT is to protect and restore biodiversity, ecosystems and ecological processes, foster sustainable living and development, and cut greenhouse gas emissions and build renewable energy capacity.
The Environment Centre NT produces a user-friendly and comprehensive field guide to the animals that live in the Top End. This is an indispensable full colour guide with over 2000 images with concise, detailed information including distinguishing features, habitats, and distribution and conservation status. A perfect reference for NT tourism guides and a great coffee table book for Top End hotels and accommodation sites.
