Meanwhile, while the harbour on the jetty side of the Peninsula was being whipped into whitecaps by yesterday’s storm, the boat ramp side was glassy and calm. The first line of showers were just popping around the corner as the sun set, lighting up beautifully with a pretty pink glow. That storm was a photographic dream - so much to offer a trigger fingered snapper. A beautifully structured storm on approach to Darwin but amazingly (or not...again) didn’t cross the Harbour. My entertainment was watching flocks of lorikeets start to fly across the harbour to their night time roosting spots, but turning back because the wind was too strong. Several attempts later they must have felt safe and disappeared towards the Darwin skyline. Did anyone actually get any rain out of this? _____________?_____________ #storm #darwinharbour #mandorah #wagaitbeach #coxpeninsula #darwinnt #wagaitbeachbushretreat #tourismtopend #nisifiltersau #northernterritory #projectrawcast #territorylife #myislandlife
