Set in lush Kakadu, Cooinda Lodge offers luxury for those who seek it. Two guests are invited to indulge in a 2-night stay in a Queen Outback Retreat, surrounded by natural bush... this is Glamping!  After a good night's sleep in your air-conditioned tent, wake up to the sound of birds calling, preparing you for your dawn Yellow Water Cruise. Follow up your cruise with a sumptuous buffet breakfast to fuel you through the day. 

Why not get out and explore some of Kakadu's regions if you have the time? Call into Bowali Visitor Centre for information on what's looking its best. During the Kudjewk (monsoon season) Kakadu really shines, the floodplains are full, and if you have time and can walk to a waterfall, you will be rewarded.  At the end of the day, visit Mimi's or the Barra Bar to enjoy your meal credit. Don't worry you can use if it for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Yellow Water Cruises operate several cruises a day on Kakadu's most famous wetland, Yellow Water Billabong, and has been awarded the winner of the 2012 Qantas Australian Tourism Award for Major Tourist Attraction.


Join us for a two hour cruise and experience this magical time of day on Yellow Water. Located at the end of the Jim Jim Creek, Yellow Water is part of the South Alligator River system. This river system is unique as it is included in its entity within a UNESCO World Heritage listed National Park.

World Heritage-listed Kakadu National Park, covering almost 20,000 square kilometres, is a place of contrasting landscapes and diverse habitats. Saltwater crocodiles lurk in freshwater billabongs dotted with lotus lilies. Rugged cliffs of the Arnhem Land escarpment hide deep sandstone gorges and pockets of monsoon rainforest. Waterfalls cascade into pools fringed with paperbarks and pandanus.

For all bookings made on a package deal any amendments and cancellations must be received by the bookings centre at least 7 days prior to arrival. Inside 7 days full fees will apply for any cancellation or amendment.
For bookings made on a daily rate we require 48 hours notice if you wish to cancel your booking with no charge. 100% fee will occur if cancel within 48 hours. Failure to arrive will incur full fees.
PLEASE NOTE -Facilities available are limited during our Wet Season Operations .

• Kakadu Tourism reserves the right to remove a traveller from a tour if it is reasonably believed that their health and/or fitness will interfere with the tour operation or other traveller’s experience
• Kakadu Tourism reserves the right to cancel any tour at the discretion of the Tours/Operations Manager due to factors beyond its control including but not limited to minimum numbers not being attained weather conditions and vehicle/mechanical failure. In such cases we will offer to tour on the next available tour or at an alternative tour of equal value. If this is not possible or you decline this offer we will issue you as the agent a full refund if payment has been received.
• Kakadu Tourism takes no responsibility for any costs incurred or action taken as a result of a delayed or cancelled tour.
• A forty-eight (48) hour cancellation policy applies to all reservations. For reservations of more than twelve (12) guests will be subject to a fourteen (14) day cancellation policy. Please contact your booking agent to cancel or amend your booking.
• Changes/cancellation within penalty window are charged in full.
• Failure to arrive on-time failure to board or no-show will be charged in full.
• All persons under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult guardian at all times.

Amendments: an amendment fee of $25.00 will be charged per itinerary change.
Cancellations: cancellation of bookings will incur a 10% administration fee calculated on the total booking cost.
