Introducing the Cooperative Tourism Advertising Fund (CTAF).
With the Cooperative Tourism Advertising Fund, Tourism Top End is giving back to members by supporting and boosting your advertising. This program enables you to be part of official intra-territory tourism campaigns and by doing this, you can receive a 10%-50% subsidy on your own advertising depending on the level you choose.

It's simple, you choose the media partners and schedule that suits your strategy from a range of member media partners. Tourism Top End will supply a style guide and creative templates for you to easily leverage the brand campaign to your advantage. For more information about CTAF, please read the FAQs below.

With the savings you'll make you can increase the reach of your marketing, add new channels to your marketing mix, reduce your advertising spend and/or invest in new creative to support your advertising efforts.

Expressions of Interest are now open and we encourage you to apply by midday Monday 19 October. The initial round is available for advertising activity between November 2020 - January 2021. Spaces are limited. If you don't make the first round, don't worry there will be a round two.

Is this available to any business?
This is available exclusively to Tourism Top End members looking to use the Campaign Brand (currently Never Have I Ever...).


Can I choose who I want to advertise with?

You can choose to work with any advertising partners that are members of Tourism Top End. This includes tv, radio, print, airport and digital marketing agencies as listed above.

Is advertising booked by Tourism Top End or myself?
You have the full flexibility to select and book your own advertising with an approved member media partner.

Can I use this fund for advertising outside of the Northern Territory?
Advertising must be targeted within the Northern Territory.


When do I need to submit my EOI?
If this is something you'd like to be involved in, please submit your expression of interest online. Round 1 Applications midday 19 October 2020 for advertising running between November - January.

Can I use this fund for existing advertising contracts?
No, the fund cannot be applied retrospectively to existing advertising agreements.

What are the minimum requirements to adhere to meet the campaign brand guidelines?
Tourism Top End will supply a brand style guide, assets and templates upon approval into the program. It includes things like colours, taglines, graphic use, logo positioning and call to action requirements.

How and when is the payment made to my business?
You will need to pay your invoice in full to your media partner/s and will send a payment remittance to Tourism Top End. This may be monthly or at the end of the campaign, subject to the media agency.

Tourism Top End will then reimburse your business within 7-14 days upon notification of payment and receipt of payment remittance, acquittal and a copy of the advertisement in-situ.

What can the fund not be used on?
The fund is only to be used on advertising/media buy. It cannot be used for creative or service fees attached to the advertising buy so please ensure you request for these to be broken down by your chosen media partner.
