Description

Tactile Arts is a vibrant, community arts organization with exhibitions, craft fairs, and workshops showcasing the amazing talent and creativity of Darwin’s artists and crafts people.

Our gallery and studios are located in the grounds of the Northern Territory museum and are open Tuesday to Sunday 10am – 4pm during exhibitions (see our website for the exhibition program).

To view and purchase creative works by our local artists – visit the Tactile Arts shop in Parliament House, Darwin. On display you’ll find unique hand-made jewelry, textiles, ceramics and much more. The shop is open Tuesday to Saturday 10am – 2pm.

Visitors and locals love the Tactile Arts craft fairs - held in May, July, September and November. You’ll find over 90 stalls packed with locally made wares you won’t find anywhere else. See our website for the next fair date.

Our art and craft workshops are open to everyone – whether total beginner or experienced artist. Join in a class while you’re visiting Darwin – meet some locals and discover your creativity!
