Kakadu in a day is the ideal tour for the time poor looking to include all the "must-do's" of Australia's largest National Park; Kakadu. Enjoy 1.5hours of spectacular scenic flying, cruise on the Yellow Water billabong, visit the Warradjan Cultural Centre and still be back in Darwin for late afternoon and evening activities.

The Northern Territory celebrates 2 seasons; Wet and Dry. We fly all year around and our Kakadu day tour itinerary will differ slightly between the seasons.

MAY – NOVEMBER ITINERARY (DRY SEASON) 08:30am Check in at Kakadu Air Terminal 09:00am – 10:30am Kick start the day with a 1.5hour scenic flight paired with informative commentary delivered by your expert pilot. This extended flight tracks over Adelaide River, Mary River National Park, Kakadu’s winding South and East Alligator rivers, coastal mangroves holding back massive floodplains to reveal the Arnhem Land Plateau standing proudly on the Eastern side of Kakadu. 10:30am Transfers to the Cultural Centre 11:00am – 12:00pm Developed by the Aboriginal traditional owners of Kakadu, wonder through Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre. The displays include personal histories, videos and artifacts that illustrate stories that the traditional owners want to share with you. Browse the gallery gift shop offering traditional didgeridoos, local artwork and much more. 12:00pm – 13:00pm Lunch at Barra Bar and Bistro 13:15pm The Yellow Water billabong is rich with flora, wildlife and changing landscapes. Sit back and relax on a 90minute cruise through Kakadu’s wetlands. It is a journey remembered for a lifetime. 15:00pm Depart Kakadu on a 45minute ferry flight back to Darwin. 16:00pm Farewell our guests at Darwin

Start your morning with 1.5hours of scenic flying paired with informative commentary delivered by your expert pilot. This extended flight tracks over Adelaide River, Mary River National Park, Kakadu’s winding South and East Alligator Rivers, coastal mangroves holding back massive floodplains to reveal the Arnhem Land Plateau standing proudly on the Eastern side of Kakadu. We finish off your aerial sightseeing with views over the mighty Jim Jim and Twin Waterfalls. 11:00am Transfers to Cruise 11:30am The Yellow Water billabong is rich with flora, wildlife and changing landscapes. Sit back and relax on a 90minute cruise through Kakadu’s wetlands. It is a journey remembered for a lifetime. Yellow Water Cruises operate several cruises a day on Kakadu's most famous wetland, Yellow Water Billabong, and has been awarded the winner of the 2012 Qantas Australian Tourism Award for Major Tourist Attraction.

Terms & conditions

KAKADU AIR SERVICES:
Reservations cancelled inside of 72 hrs (3 days) from departure will forfeit payment in full.
Reservations cancelled between 72 hrs and 168 hrs (7 days) from departure are refunded 50%.
Reservations cancelled beyond 7 days will receive a full refund.
Check in: All flights require a check in 30 minutes prior to the advertised departure time. A late departure is likely to affect passengers on following flights. Our goal is to remain on time, if arrival is likely to be delayed please inform us urgently. We may be able to offer alternative options.
Flights are subject to favourable weather conditions. If cancelled due to poor weather, passengers will be given the option of an alternative time and/or date. In the instance that rescheduling is not a possibility, Kakadu Air will not invoice for funds.
All passenger weights must be advised at time of booking. Please do not be offended or concerned. Kakadu Air operates light aircraft and take-off weight is a safety issue. We will not fly over weight or compromise safety.
Due to the safety and weight / balance of the aircraft, we have a weight limitation of 130kg per person. If you are this weight, please contact the reservations team at Kakadu Air direct.
The Company reserves the following rights, to cancel, or to postpone any flight without notice should a circumstance occur that might represent a threat to the safe conduct of the flight or tour.
Kakadu Air respects the Kakadu National Park managements voluntary code of conduct known as the The fly neighbourly policy. This policy limits flights to a certain minimum height above terrain, and distance lateral from about 30 locations in Kakadu. Jim Jim and Twin falls are two of these locations. These Falls are viewed freely in our WET SEASON flights as the roads are closed. In the DRY SEASON when the roads are open there are no flights over Jim Jim and Twin Falls.
In refusing service to any person or persons for reason of drunkenness, annoyance, offence, or threat to flight passengers or crew, the company refuses liability for any inconvenience or cost related to our refusal for the passenger or freight to travel.

TOURISM TOP END:
Amendments: an amendment fee of $25.00 will be charged per itinerary change.
Cancellation: cancellation of bookings will incur a 12.5% administration fee calculated on the total booking cost.
