Tourism Top End is the peak Tourism Association in the Top End of Australia's Northern Territory and has been representing the interests of the Tourism Industry since 1973.

As a not-for-profit, membership-based Association, Tourism Top End is responsible for regional destination development, marketing and advocacy, We promote the Top End for both leisure and business events supporting our 500 plus members. The Association operates the Top End Travel and Information Centre in Darwin, being one of the leading tourist booking facilities in Australia.

Tourism Top End serves the area known as the 'Top End' in the Northern Territory which includes the Cities of Darwin and Palmerston, World Heritage Listed Kakadu National Park, Katherine region including Nitmiluk National Park, Douglas Daly Region, Arnhem Land, Litchfield National Park and the Tiwi Islands.

The Association also manages a variety of tourism industry programs in partnership with Northern Territory Government, City of Darwin and the Australian Tourism Industry Council.

About the role

As the Marketing Coordinator, you will be self-motivated and agile, undertaking the consumer and membership marketing duties along with assisting with the administrative needs of the marketing team. The duties of this position will be within the following parameters:

  • Coordinate Marketing and Communication Services
  • Assistant to the Marketing Manager


Skills and Experiences:

Marketing Duties

  1. Coordinate and optimise consumer marketing campaigns and activity across all channels including print, tv, radio, digital, social, email and more, aligned with the intra-territory consumer marketing plan
  2. Coordinate co-operative marketing campaigns
  3. Coordinate social media content and campaigns
  4. Coordinate and optimise membership growth and retention campaigns
  5. Manage content on the consumer and membership websites
  6. Prepare and send the industry and consumer newsletters
  7. Sell and manage member marketing opportunities available
  8. Coordinate the distribution and stock management of marketing collateral
  9. Monitor and maintain work in progress to ensure timely follow up and completion
  10. Other duties required by the Marketing Manager

 Marketing Duties

  1. Prepare Board of management and general member reports
  2. Take minutes for Marketing Committee Meetings held each month
  3. Prepare General Meeting documentation 
  4. Coordinate setup of monthly General Meetings, including audiovisual equipment for live streaming
