Banubanu Beach Retreat is located 13 kilometres north of the town of Nhulunbuy, which is at the northeastern corner of Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory. Guests can fly into Nhulunbuy airport which is serviced by flights from Darwin and Cairns by Air North Airlines.

Cancellation Policy

Notice of cancellation must be received in writing by letter or email.

10 – 30 days prior 20% of total cost of tour.
4 – 9 days prior 80% of total cost of tour.
3 days or less 100% of total cost of tour.
In the event that Banubanu has to cancel they will make full refund as soon as possible.


All amounts are quoted in Australian Dollars and inclusive of GST (Goods and Services Tax).
Banubanu reserves the right to alter the itinerary due to unforeseen circumstances or cultural reasons.
Banubanu accepts no responsibility for any loss of property or damage to property.
Banubanu will not be held accountable for any personal injury or illness to the client during the course of your stay at Banubanu.
Banubanu recommends that all clients take out adequate travelers insurance to cover:
Costs arising from their cancellation of a booking due to unforeseen circumstances
Loss and damage to property.
Personal injury and illness.
Before departing on the program you will be required to read and sign the Banubanu Indemnity form. You can download a copy of the form from our website. We think it is a good idea to read it thoroughly beforehand.
By booking the program you are acknowledging that you understand and agree to these conditions.
