Rita Macarounas - #Visual Mapping

Rita Macarounas has been working on her flower series since 2002. She began to paint flowers as a ‘break’ from her Fragments series that she was working on at the time. What was only a mere distraction and pause from her body of work, soon became a passion and she found herself overwhelmed with involvement with her flowers. This creative journey has lasted almost 20 years and she has incorporated in her visual vocabulary mediums that reflect her Greek heritage. Following the invitation only exhibition opening this Friday, pop into The Gallery on weekdays from 1-5pm to see this culmination of her work.
