Territory Day is a much-loved event for Territorians, who take the opportunity to celebrate everything they love about this incredible place we call home. Each year on 1 July, the Territory comes alive with fireworks displays, concerts and community events to recognise the day the NT declared independence from the Commonwealth Government in 1978.
