Royal Darwin Show

The Royal Darwin Show is at heart an agricultural show offering a unique showcase of the best of the Territory, including competition, education and entertainment. It is family oriented and provides a ‘value for money’ experience which caters for all ages, over three days. Just as importantly, it brings us all together once a year to celebrate our multicultural diversity and our great lifestyle!

The pavilions are filled with arts and craft, poultry, photography and horticulture and local produce to appreciate and learn about. You can also enjoy livestock both large and small including cats, dogs and cattle, poultry and baby animals. The main arena features a variety of horse events from dressage to show jumping together with some special entertainment including Holden versus Ford, The Harry & Carly Car Show, Outback Jack’s stockman show, a mascot race and traditional spear throwing.

An exciting array of attractions will also feature at this year’s Show; they include, the popular Dinkum Dinosaurs, the Sandman Sculptor and Chainsaw Sculptures. And especially for our 74th show Aviculture Hall will be bursting with a variety of beautiful colourful birds and a snake exhibit.

Meanwhile a wide variety of exhibitors offer diverse foods, a huge range of showbags, industry information and goods for sale. For the adventurous, the fun of Sideshow Alley awaits with its many rides and entertainment for all ages.

The Show closes on Saturday night with a ‘fireworks to music’ spectacular – a long-held tradition.
