Hot on the heels of her participation in the 2025 Sharjah Biennial and a solo exhibition in Yogyakarta, MAGNT is delighted to host visiting contemporary Indonesian artist, Restu Ratnaningtyas, in conversation with Curator of Southeast Asian Art, Emily Collins.
Known for her intriguing and often surreal creations, Restu will share insights into the compelling imagery and feminist themes of her creations encompassing watercolour on paper, textile installation and embroidery, through works in MAGNT’s Stephen Shaul Collection of Contemporary Indonesian Art.
This international presentation and artist residency is generously supported by Stephen Shaul.
This program is delivered in association with the Pasar Malam | Night Market: Contemporary Printmaking from Indonesia and Australia exhibition being showcased at the Northern Centre for Contemporary Arts (NCCA) in Parap from 13 February - 11 April.
