Each of our aircraft have high wings and large windows for great viewing with your pilot providing commentary on every flight. Description

Multi-award winning Aviair is a regional airline, charter flight operator, regular public transport (RPT) operator and a scenic air tour operator. Our head office is in Kununurra, the Kimberley, and we have large operations at both Broome and at Karratha, Western Australia.

Aviair is the specialist when it comes to touring the spectacular Kimberley region, including the world heritage listed Purnululu National Park where the Bungle Bungle range enthrals visitors. The remote Mitchell Falls and Kimberley Coast are equally spectacular in their natural beauty and an air tour is the best way to explore.

Aviair’s fleet of 30 aircraft include; Pilatus PC12 pressurised single-engine turbine aeroplanes, B200 King Air twin turbine aeroplanes, Cessna 208 propjet Caravans, Beechcraft Baron, Cessna 210 and GA8 Airvan types. Our mission capabilities include: regular public transport (RPT), passenger charter, mining company FIFO, air freight, RFDS clinic flights, RASS remote area services, search and rescue flights, aerial geophysical work, photography flights, scenic flights and tailor-made itineraries.

Aviair, formerly known as Slingair, was founded by Kerry Slingsby in Kununurra in 1984 and more recently was owned by the Aviator Group, a private equity group based in Sydney. Under local Kununurra ownership since April 2016, Aviair is owned by Michael McConachy (Managing Director) and Geoff Hamilton, who are co-owners of the well known helicopter business, HeliSpirit, operating 24 helicopters across WA and the NT.

Aviair and our team are committed supporters of the Kimberley and Pilbara community and we support many community organisations and events with sponsorship and services. In 2019 we are proud to be the naming rights sponsor of the Aviair HeliSpirit Kimberley Moon Experience concert on May 25th on the shores of Lake Kununurra.

Formerly known as Slingair Heliwork, we are delighted to introduce you to our fresh new brand. Aviair is the new name for Slingair. We operate the youngest fleet of aircraft in the East Kimberley. All of our aircraft are air-conditioned, have high wings, and large windows for your customers viewing pleasure. Our fleet of aircraft are powered by Pratt and Whitney Prop Jet engines, which are quieter than older style piston engines. Our pilot will present his commentary across the aircraft cabins PA system so your customers do not need to wear headsets.
