I need to change my booking, what should I do?

If you have a tour booked during a current lockdown, please contact your tour operator or contact us via email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Should you need to cancel a booking made through the Tourism Top End Travel and Visitor Information Centre due to your State/Territory Government COVID-19 lockdown order, the following procedure applies. Contact us with a request to cancel and travel at a later date. The booking will be cancelled and funds held in credit to be redeemed within 12 months of cancellation date. Customers will need to cover any increase in services at time of rebooking. Should you decide to cancel your booking and not travel at a later date, a refund will be made to you less any cancellation fees levied by the operator and a booking centre cancellation fee.

Please do not attempt to access Aboriginal communities, many are closed to protect their very valuable cultural heritage from the COVID-19 virus.

Contact Tracing in the NT

The Territory Check In app is a contactless, secure and easy way for customers and visitors to sign into businesses and venues.

The app enables individuals to check-in to venues and have this data stored securely by NT Health for 28 days so contact tracing can be quickly undertaken if required. It also allows you to check in friends and family, who might not have their own device, using your app.

Registration and use of the app is free of charge.

What do I do if I’m feeling unwell?

If you think you need to be tested for coronavirus (COVID-19):

In the Territory, anyone with one or more of the symptoms can access testing for COVID-19.
Note: All testing clinics are by appointment only. Do not turn up to a clinic without an appointment.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms include:

  • a recent acute respiratory infection (cough, shortness of breath, sore throat)
  • a fever of 37.5°C or higher or history of fever (night sweats, chills)
  • loss of smell or taste.

Check if a park is open

Conditions and access to parks in the Northern Territory can change at short notice.

You should check the NT Parks website and Parks Australia website (Kakadu National Park) before you leave for any national park or reserve.

For NT road conditions check the government's Road Report website before you leave home.
