The 2025 Telstra National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Awards

Friday 8th August

18:00PM

At Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory

Free Event

We invite you to join us on the lawns at MAGNT for this spectacular sunset ceremony as we announce and congratulate the 2025 Telstra NATSIAA winners with a stellar lineup of Australian musicians.

Headlining the evening is Velvet Trip, the acclaimed psychedelic soul project led by Wiradjuri artist Zeppelin Hamilton. Known for their genre-blurring sound and magnetic live performances, Velvet Trip have lit up stages at major festivals around the country — and now, for the first time, they’ll bring their immersive, dreamy grooves to Darwin.

They’ll be joined by a powerhouse ensemble of artists, including Leah Flanagan, one of Darwin’s most beloved singer-songwriters, whose soulful voice and presence continues to captivate audiences. Also performing is Eleanor Jawurlngali, a Mudburra and Garrawa woman whose haunting vocals flow effortlessly between traditional language and English. Her set, created in collaboration with Mick Turner of the legendary Dirty Three, promises to be a poignant and moving moment in the night.
