2026 will be the 8th year of the Savanna Fire Forum (SFF). In an exciting first, the Indigenous Carbon Industry Network will co-locate the SFF with the 2nd National Indigenous Carbon Forum (NICF), reflecting the industry’s growth and level of interest in the carbon industry from Indigenous groups across Australia.
The SFF is a well-established event that supports Indigenous leadership in savanna fire management, fosters knowledge sharing and promotes best practice. The NICF addresses broader carbon methods beyond savanna fire management relevant to Indigenous proponents, highlights Indigenous rights and interests in carbon across Australia, and supports opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to actively manage their Country.
